BORTHWICK CASTLE WEDDING VIDEOGRAPHY

Borthwick Castle stands as a timeless symbol of Scotland's rich history and architectural splendor. Dating back to the 15th century, this majestic fortress has witnessed centuries of intrigue, romance, and royalty. Originally built by Sir William Borthwick, it served as a stronghold for the powerful Borthwick family during a tumultuous period in Scottish history.

Over the centuries, Borthwick Castle has played host to many notable figures, including Mary, Queen of Scots, who sought refuge within its walls on more than one occasion. Its imposing battlements and sturdy stone walls have weathered wars, sieges, and political upheavals, yet they have retained their majestic allure through the ages.

Today, Borthwick Castle stands as a beautifully preserved historic landmark and exclusive venue for weddings and events. Its rich heritage is evident in every corner, from the grand halls adorned with tapestries to the cozy chambers with their ancient fireplaces. Stepping into Borthwick Castle is like stepping back in time, where the echoes of Scotland's storied past resonate in every stone.

As a wedding videographer at Borthwick Castle, you're in for a treat of stunning backdrops and timeless elegance. Nestled in the Scottish countryside, this historic venue provides the perfect canvas for capturing unforgettable moments. From the grandeur of its chambers to the breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape, every frame tells a story of love and celebration in a setting that exudes charm and sophistication. Working here isn't just about documenting weddings—it's about being inspired by the rich history and regal atmosphere, creating videos that resonate with authenticity and beauty. Borthwick Castle offers a unique opportunity for wedding videographers to showcase their craft amidst a backdrop of romance and grandeur.

Last month was my first time working at this magical venue. The staff are so lovely and the grounds are amazing for a wedding videographer - so much choice - even on a blustery day like this one!

I definitely did my 10,000 steps going up and down the steep stone staircases but it was worth it - the venue is so beautiful and completely unspoilt - a hot favourite of mine already and I can’t wait to go back!

Here is the highlights film from the wedding of Katrina and Alex from last month.
