THE byre at inchyra wedding: sarah & Callum
Here’s the highlights film from the incredible wedding of Sarah and Callum, who tied the knot earlier this year at the beautiful Byre at Inchyra, one of Perthshire’s most loved countryside wedding venues.
The weather couldn’t have been more perfect — blue skies, warm sunshine, and that soft, golden light that makes every wedding video in Scotland look absolutely magical. Thanks to the glorious conditions, Sarah and Callum were able to have their ceremony outdoors in the Byre’s famous walled garden — a truly breathtaking location surrounded by wildflowers, rustic stone walls, and the peaceful sounds of the countryside. It’s one of my all-time favourite ceremony spots to film at.
As a Byre at Inchyra wedding videographer, I always get excited to shoot here. This venue has such a unique charm — from the rustic barn interior with its fairy lights and timber beams to the open fields and woodland trails that are perfect for couple portraits. Every direction you turn, there’s another cinematic backdrop just waiting to be captured.
Sarah and Callum’s wedding day was everything a Scottish barn wedding should be — relaxed, romantic, and filled with laughter. Their friends and family brought such a joyful energy to the day, and it really shines through in their wedding highlights film. From emotional vows in the garden to dancing the night away in the byre, it was a celebration full of love and life.
It was such a pleasure to be part of their day and to create a Perthshire wedding video that tells their story so beautifully. I can’t wait to be back at The Byre at Inchyra soon — it’s truly one of Scotland’s best wedding venues for videography.

Celine & Daniel at the royal college of physicians, Edinburgh
Celine and Daniel’s wedding at the Royal College of Physicians in Edinburgh was a real privilege to film. The venue is one of the city’s most iconic spaces – elegant, historic, and full of character – and it couldn’t have been a better setting for their day. From start to finish, it was full of laughter, genuine moments, and a brilliant atmosphere.
What stood out most was how personal the day felt. Nothing was staged or forced – it was very much a reflection of who they are as a couple. You could see how much their family and friends mean to them, and those connections came across so clearly throughout the day.
One of my favourite little details came from a story about Celine’s childhood. On a family holiday, she was given prawns to eat but wasn’t keen – so instead of saying anything, she quietly put the prawn eyeballs into her purse to get rid of them. It’s a small, funny story, but it says a lot about her playful side, which was definitely still there on the wedding day.
Being able to capture those kinds of moments – from the ceremony to the dance floor – is exactly why I enjoy this work so much. It’s about more than just documenting a wedding; it’s about preserving the little details and the atmosphere that make each day unique.
Celine and Daniel, thank you again for trusting me with your story. It’s a wedding I’ll definitely remember.
Beautiful Edinburgh wedding at City Chambers with photo stops at The Vennel, Victoria Street & Royal Mile, filmed by Edinburgh Wedding Videos.
Rachel & Raymond’s Edinburgh Wedding – City Chambers, The Vennel, and Imperial Palace
As a professional wedding videographer in Edinburgh, I get to film love stories in some of the most iconic and beautiful locations in Scotland’s capital. Rachel and Raymond’s wedding was a perfect example of how couples can blend tradition, heritage, and Edinburgh’s charm into one unforgettable day.
Wedding Ceremony at Edinburgh City Chambers
The couple chose the Edinburgh City Chambers for their ceremony – one of the city’s most popular and elegant wedding venues. The grand architecture and historic surroundings created the perfect setting as Rachel and Raymond exchanged vows in front of their closest family and friends. Capturing the emotion and atmosphere of this moment was truly special, and the City Chambers provided a cinematic backdrop for the start of their married life together.
Wedding Video Shoot Around Edinburgh Old Town
After the ceremony, we headed out into the heart of Edinburgh for a wedding video shoot at some of the city’s most photogenic locations.
The Vennel – with its cobbled steps and stunning view of Edinburgh Castle – gave us those dramatic, romantic shots couples love.
Victoria Street – famous for its colourful buildings and unique charm – added a playful, vibrant element to their wedding film.
The Royal Mile – timeless, historic, and atmospheric – rounded off the shoot with classic Edinburgh style.
These spots are some of my favourite places for wedding videography in Edinburgh, as they combine romance with the city’s unique character.
Tea Ceremony and Reception at The Imperial Palace
In the evening, Rachel and Raymond celebrated with a traditional Chinese tea ceremony, a beautiful way to honour their heritage and families. Filming this part of the day was a privilege – the emotion, respect, and cultural traditions were incredibly moving.
The celebrations continued with a Chinese buffet at The Imperial Palace, where guests enjoyed amazing food, heartfelt speeches, and plenty of laughter. It was the perfect way to bring two cultures together and end the day on a high.
Why I Loved Filming This Edinburgh Wedding
Rachel and Raymond’s wedding was full of authentic, heartfelt moments – from the vows at City Chambers, to the cinematic strolls through Old Town, to the traditions at Imperial Palace. As a wedding videographer, it’s days like these that remind me why I love my work: every couple has a unique story, and my job is to capture it in a way that lasts forever.
If you’re planning your wedding in Edinburgh and want a wedding video that captures not just the big moments, but also the atmosphere, emotions, and unique details of your day, I’d love to chat. You can get in touch with me at Edinburgh Wedding Videos to start planning your story.

LUKE and Becca: Winton Castle Wedding
I’ve just wrapped up the edit of Luke and Becca’s wedding film, and it’s been a real pleasure to revisit such a memorable day. Luke and Becca, both journalists from New York, were married at Winton Castle in East Lothian — a setting that turned out to be not only visually stunning but also incredibly welcoming and well run. It’s quietly become one of my favourite venues to film at.
The day itself had a calm, thoughtful feel from start to finish. There were no big productions or over-the-top moments — just a genuine connection between two people, shared with their closest family and friends. Filming solo, I’m always looking for the quiet in-between moments that say something real, and this day had plenty of those.
Winton Castle really lends itself to that kind of storytelling. The character of the rooms, the quality of the light, and the peaceful setting all made it a joy to work in. I’m proud of the finished film and grateful to Luke and Becca for letting me document their day in such a personal way.
Rachael and Steven at the Signet library
Rachael and Steven’s wedding at the Signet Library in May was one of those days that makes my job easy. They’re a young, sharp-looking couple who were totally up for making the most of the video side of things — which always helps me capture something a bit more dynamic and personal. From the start, they were relaxed, up for ideas, and really trusted me to get creative, which goes a long way in making a film that actually feels like them.
The Signet Library is one of the most unique wedding venues in Edinburgh — right off the Royal Mile, full of character, and a dream for shooting clean, cinematic footage. Between the two levels and all that natural light, there’s loads to work with. Rachael and Steven nailed the balance between keeping it classy and having a proper celebration. We got everything from a quiet moment before the ceremony to a packed dance floor later on — and a few impromptu shots in between.
If you’re planning a wedding at the Signet Library and want a wedding videographer who’ll keep things real, capture the energy of the day, and not just the pretty setups, get in touch. This one was a brilliant reminder of how fun and fast-paced filming a wedding in Edinburgh can be.

Wedding Content Creator vs. Wedding Videographer: Understanding the Difference
Firstly - I want to say that ALL of the wedding Creators I have worked with so far have been lovely - despite my concerns!
Weddings have evolved in countless ways over the years—and so have the ways we capture them. Today, couples aren’t just hiring photographers and videographers; they’re also bringing on wedding content creators to document behind-the-scenes moments for social media.
While both wedding videographers and content creators offer unique value, their roles are quite different. If you’re planning your big day, understanding what each one brings to the table can help you make the most informed (and lasting) decision.
What Does a Wedding Content Creator Do?
A wedding content creator is essentially a social media specialist dedicated to your wedding day. Armed with a smartphone, their job is to capture quick, casual moments that can be shared on platforms like Instagram and TikTok—often within hours of saying “I do.”
Key Offerings:
Behind-the-scenes footage from a guest’s perspective
Quick turnaround for next-day posting
Trending audio, filters, and Reels-style edits
A candid, relaxed feel
If you’re the kind of couple that loves sharing every moment with your followers, a content creator can keep your online presence fresh and lively. They’re also great for helping you relive those fun, fleeting in-between moments you might otherwise miss.
What Does a Wedding Videographer Do?
A wedding videographer approaches your day with storytelling in mind. Using professional-grade cameras, audio equipment, and editing software, they focus on crafting a cinematic film that captures the essence of your relationship and the emotional arc of the day.
Key Offerings:
Professionally filmed and edited highlight films
High-quality audio of vows, speeches, and ambient moments
Multiple camera angles for dynamic storytelling
Full-length ceremony and reception coverage (optional)
A polished, timeless keepsake
While content creators offer immediacy and spontaneity, videographers focus on creating something more enduring—an heirloom-quality film that can be revisited and shared for years to come.
Complementary Roles—But Different Purposes
Content creators and videographers often work side by side at modern weddings, and in the best cases, their roles complement one another. One provides instant memories; the other preserves the day in a deeper, more structured way.
But it’s important to remember that while content creators are skilled at capturing a certain vibe, videographers are trained storytellers. They consider lighting, pacing, sound, emotion, and atmosphere. They edit with intention. The result is a film that not only shows what happened but helps you feel it all over again.
Which Should You Choose?
If your budget allows, hiring both can be the best of both worlds—fun, spontaneous content for the short term, and a beautifully crafted film for the long haul.
But if you’re choosing between the two, think about what matters most: quick social media posts, or a professionally produced video that you’ll want to watch every anniversary. One captures the day in real time. The other tells the story for a lifetime.
Filming Chloe and Stephen’s wedding at the Ghillie Dhu back in April was a quietly memorable experience — full of character, heart, and a genuine sense of ease. As an Irish couple living in Edinburgh, their day reflected a mix of tradition and individuality. There was no over-the-top production, just a natural flow of people, moments, and conversations that made the whole event feel grounded and real. You got the sense that everyone in the room had been part of the story long before the wedding day.
The Ghillie Dhu offered the perfect backdrop — all warm tones, soft lighting, and old-world atmosphere without feeling stuffy. It suited them. Their ceremony was thoughtful without being overly formal, and the whole day carried that same tone — heartfelt, and filled with laughter that wasn’t trying too hard to be anything other than itself.
What stood out most was how relaxed and present Chloe and Stephen were throughout it all. No fuss, no overthinking — just a couple celebrating in a way that made sense to them, surrounded by the people who mattered. It was a privilege to document those moments, the kind that don’t shout but stay with you all the same.
Special shout out the the Father of the Bride - who said the best joke I’ve heard in a lot of speeches! Check out the film below to hear it!

Wedding Videography at Gleneagles Hotel – Anja & Daniel
A Personal Wedding in a Stunning Scottish Setting
As a wedding videographer based in Edinburgh, I often travel across Scotland to film weddings in some brilliant venues — but Anja and Daniel’s wedding at Gleneagles Hotel really stood out. Gleneagles has a unique atmosphere: impressive without being over-the-top, private without feeling cut off. It made the perfect backdrop for a day that felt personal, relaxed, and entirely focused on the couple and their guests.
Filming the Day – A Documentary Style Approach
From the start, Anja and Daniel were clear about wanting a natural, documentary-style wedding film. No staged shots, no intrusive cameras — just a calm, honest record of the day. That approach suits my way of working perfectly. The day flowed without pressure or performance, and I aimed to capture the real moments as they happened.
As a Gleneagles wedding videographer, it’s not about turning the day into a production — it’s about noticing the details, the connections, and the atmosphere, and creating a film that brings all that back without any added gloss.
Looking for a Wedding Videographer in Edinburgh or Gleneagles?
If you're planning a wedding at Gleneagles Hotel, or you're looking for a wedding videographer in Edinburgh who works across Scotland, I’d love to hear what you have planned. My focus is always on telling the story of the day as it was — natural, simple, and genuine.
Feel free to reach out if you’re after a film that reflects your day without any fuss.
Gemma & Dylan // Customs House, Leith
Filming Gemma and Dylan’s wedding was an absolute pleasure. I had already shot Gemmas twin sisters wedding - so it was lovely to be aksed back to film Gemma and Dylans (I must be doing something right!) As a wedding videographer, I get to witness a lot of incredible days, but theirs stood out for its relaxed atmosphere and genuine moments. The ceremony at Customs House was simple yet elegant, with its historic architecture and riverside setting adding a timeless feel to the day. Leith hads changed a lot since I lived there - defintiely more hipster and cosmopolitan - in a good way! The personal touches in their vows and the way they looked at each other made it clear how much this day meant to them.
The reception at Seasons Quayside was a perfect continuation of the celebrations. The space was full of energy, with guests fully embracing the moment—whether during the speeches, the music, or on the dance floor. The waterfront location gave a great backdrop for candid moments, and the evening light made for some stunning shots. There were so many lovely choices for couples shots that we really were spoilt for choice.
What stood out most was how effortlessly everything came together—no over-the-top staging, just real moments between two people and the people closest to them. Capturing that kind of atmosphere is exactly why I love filming weddings!

Emily & Brian’s wedding at dynamic earth
Brian and Emily’s wedding at Dynamic Earth in Edinburgh was a truly unforgettable celebration. As wedding videographers, we always love capturing unique venues, and this one was something special. With access to the planetarium (for a very surreal film about constellations!) and the exhibits, the day had an incredible atmosphere—modern, fun, and full of personality, just like the couple themselves. The ceremony took was orchestrated by one of Emilys close friends giving the whole thing a really personal feel. Brian and Emily’s vows were heartfelt and genuine, and it was clear to see how much the moment meant to them both. One of the highlights of the day was filming the newlyweds during 'golden hour' - although in Scotland in December 'Golden minute' would be more accurate! As the evening continued, the celebrations moved into full swing. The mix of science, great music, and romance made for such a unique wedding experience, with guests able to immerse themselves in the exhibits while also enjoying the joy of the occasion. Capturing the couple’s love story in such a dynamic setting was a real privilege. Congratulations again to Brian and Emily— I loved being a part of your wedding at Dynamic Earth! 🎥✨
