Gemma & Dylan // Customs House, Leith

Filming Gemma and Dylan’s wedding was an absolute pleasure. I had already shot Gemmas twin sisters wedding - so it was lovely to be aksed back to film Gemma and Dylans (I must be doing something right!) As a wedding videographer, I get to witness a lot of incredible days, but theirs stood out for its relaxed atmosphere and genuine moments. The ceremony at Customs House was simple yet elegant, with its historic architecture and riverside setting adding a timeless feel to the day. Leith hads changed a lot since I lived there - defintiely more hipster and cosmopolitan - in a good way! The personal touches in their vows and the way they looked at each other made it clear how much this day meant to them.

The reception at Seasons Quayside was a perfect continuation of the celebrations. The space was full of energy, with guests fully embracing the moment—whether during the speeches, the music, or on the dance floor. The waterfront location gave a great backdrop for candid moments, and the evening light made for some stunning shots. There were so many lovely choices for couples shots that we really were spoilt for choice.

What stood out most was how effortlessly everything came together—no over-the-top staging, just real moments between two people and the people closest to them. Capturing that kind of atmosphere is exactly why I love filming weddings!
