Rachael and Steven at the Signet library
Rachael and Steven’s wedding at the Signet Library in May was one of those days that makes my job easy. They’re a young, sharp-looking couple who were totally up for making the most of the video side of things — which always helps me capture something a bit more dynamic and personal. From the start, they were relaxed, up for ideas, and really trusted me to get creative, which goes a long way in making a film that actually feels like them.
The Signet Library is one of the most unique wedding venues in Edinburgh — right off the Royal Mile, full of character, and a dream for shooting clean, cinematic footage. Between the two levels and all that natural light, there’s loads to work with. Rachael and Steven nailed the balance between keeping it classy and having a proper celebration. We got everything from a quiet moment before the ceremony to a packed dance floor later on — and a few impromptu shots in between.
If you’re planning a wedding at the Signet Library and want a wedding videographer who’ll keep things real, capture the energy of the day, and not just the pretty setups, get in touch. This one was a brilliant reminder of how fun and fast-paced filming a wedding in Edinburgh can be.
