The GHillie DHU
The Ghillie Dhu holds a special place in my heart as one of my favourite wedding venues for several reasons. Firstly, its unique blend of traditional Scottish charm and contemporary elegance creates an atmosphere that is both timeless and captivating. The venue's rich history, reflected in its architecture and decor, adds a sense of depth and authenticity to every wedding I capture there. It is sutiably gothic and moody in the cremony room which I love!
Furthermore, Ghillie Dhu's versatility as a venue allows for a wide range of wedding styles and themes, making each event truly unique. Whether couples choose to exchange vows beneath the soaring vaulted ceilings of the main hall or opt for a more intimate ceremony in the nearby gardens, Ghillie Dhu offers the perfect setting for couples to express their individuality and create memories that reflect their love story.
Moreover, the team at Ghillie Dhu consistently goes above and beyond to ensure that every wedding is a memorable and seamless experience for couples and their guests. From the attentive staff to the exquisite cuisine, every detail is meticulously planned and executed, allowing couples to relax and enjoy their special day knowing that they are in capable hands.
My favouirte aspect of a Ghillie Dhu wedding is the vairety of couples shoot locations just a stones throw away form the venue, inlcuding the Georgian archtecture and cobbled old streets, the iconic Princes street, the ancient church grounds across the road, and my absolute favourite - Princes street gardens with the beautiful Ross fountain and stunning views of Edinburgh Castle.
Here are a few highlights films from wedding I shot at this amazing venue.
