Filming Chloe and Stephen’s wedding at the Ghillie Dhu back in April was a quietly memorable experience — full of character, heart, and a genuine sense of ease. As an Irish couple living in Edinburgh, their day reflected a mix of tradition and individuality. There was no over-the-top production, just a natural flow of people, moments, and conversations that made the whole event feel grounded and real. You got the sense that everyone in the room had been part of the story long before the wedding day.
The Ghillie Dhu offered the perfect backdrop — all warm tones, soft lighting, and old-world atmosphere without feeling stuffy. It suited them. Their ceremony was thoughtful without being overly formal, and the whole day carried that same tone — heartfelt, and filled with laughter that wasn’t trying too hard to be anything other than itself.
What stood out most was how relaxed and present Chloe and Stephen were throughout it all. No fuss, no overthinking — just a couple celebrating in a way that made sense to them, surrounded by the people who mattered. It was a privilege to document those moments, the kind that don’t shout but stay with you all the same.
Special shout out the the Father of the Bride - who said the best joke I’ve heard in a lot of speeches! Check out the film below to hear it!
