Beautiful Edinburgh wedding at City Chambers with photo stops at The Vennel, Victoria Street & Royal Mile, filmed by Edinburgh Wedding Videos.
Rachel & Raymond’s Edinburgh Wedding – City Chambers, The Vennel, and Imperial Palace
As a professional wedding videographer in Edinburgh, I get to film love stories in some of the most iconic and beautiful locations in Scotland’s capital. Rachel and Raymond’s wedding was a perfect example of how couples can blend tradition, heritage, and Edinburgh’s charm into one unforgettable day.
Wedding Ceremony at Edinburgh City Chambers
The couple chose the Edinburgh City Chambers for their ceremony – one of the city’s most popular and elegant wedding venues. The grand architecture and historic surroundings created the perfect setting as Rachel and Raymond exchanged vows in front of their closest family and friends. Capturing the emotion and atmosphere of this moment was truly special, and the City Chambers provided a cinematic backdrop for the start of their married life together.
Wedding Video Shoot Around Edinburgh Old Town
After the ceremony, we headed out into the heart of Edinburgh for a wedding video shoot at some of the city’s most photogenic locations.
The Vennel – with its cobbled steps and stunning view of Edinburgh Castle – gave us those dramatic, romantic shots couples love.
Victoria Street – famous for its colourful buildings and unique charm – added a playful, vibrant element to their wedding film.
The Royal Mile – timeless, historic, and atmospheric – rounded off the shoot with classic Edinburgh style.
These spots are some of my favourite places for wedding videography in Edinburgh, as they combine romance with the city’s unique character.
Tea Ceremony and Reception at The Imperial Palace
In the evening, Rachel and Raymond celebrated with a traditional Chinese tea ceremony, a beautiful way to honour their heritage and families. Filming this part of the day was a privilege – the emotion, respect, and cultural traditions were incredibly moving.
The celebrations continued with a Chinese buffet at The Imperial Palace, where guests enjoyed amazing food, heartfelt speeches, and plenty of laughter. It was the perfect way to bring two cultures together and end the day on a high.
Why I Loved Filming This Edinburgh Wedding
Rachel and Raymond’s wedding was full of authentic, heartfelt moments – from the vows at City Chambers, to the cinematic strolls through Old Town, to the traditions at Imperial Palace. As a wedding videographer, it’s days like these that remind me why I love my work: every couple has a unique story, and my job is to capture it in a way that lasts forever.
